Israeli Ambassador Arthur Koll says there could be revenge attacks for Osama bin Laden's death, but the Balkans is not high on the terrorist list of priorities. However, that does not mean that the countries of the Balkans should not be prepared and cautious, he added. International terrorism is weaker without bin Laden, Koll believes. Israel's top diplomat in Serbia expressed his concerned about the recently signed reconciliation deal between Palestinian movements Hamas and Fatah, and said it would not lead to renewed negotiations with the Palestinian authorities. "Hamas wants the destruction of Israel and Islamic law to be instated throughout the world," he remarked. "One cannot have peace talks with Israel and at the same time embrace Hamas and its ideology.
