"The concept is that the dialogue is supposed to focus on technical issues and that political topics would not be accepted at any time," Tahiri said in an interview for Albanian language daily Express.

"Stefanović's ideas are destabilizing the region," she asserted.

Tahiri refuted the allegations that there were certain tendencies to discuss separation during the first three rounds of talks with the Belgrade delegation.

She added that Stefanović's statement constituted for a "provocation" and was "damaging to the dialogue".

"Such provocative statements are harmful to the dialogue, Tahiri said and expressed belief that Stefanović "should in this case be held responsible for the contribution to a successful dialogue".

Tahiri also believes that "such claims are designed to suit the needs of Serbia's internal politics".
