The man in charge of security of the head of EULEX in Kosovo has been sacked, it has been confirmed. The EU mission is headed by Xavier de Marnhac, while the news was confirmed today for Albanian language media in Pristina by his deputy, Andy Sparkes. EULEX security officer sacked after "scandal" The decision came "after a scandal broke out when the security chief insulted local EULEX security personnel on ethnic and religious grounds", reports Beta news agency. Sparkes stated today that the local personnel, who reported the case, were transferred to other jobs. Those involved in the incident have not been named. Previously, Kosovo Albanian government Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuqi was quoted as saying that "individual cases do not harm relations with EULEX".
