Belgrade's proposal for an investigation into the allegations from CoE Rapporteur Dick Marty's report has been forwarded to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The Serbian Mission to the UN received the proposal and forwarded it to the UN secretary general to deliver to the UN Security Council members, the mission's officials said. Serbia’s proposal submitted to UN chief Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic stated earlier on Wednesday that the main element in the proposal delivered to Ban Ki-moon referred to the need for the UN Security Council to grant mandate for conducting an investigation on the CoE rapporteur's allegations regarding human organ trafficking in Kosovo. Jeremic pointed out that the UN secretary general would forward the proposal sent on Tuesday to UN Security Council member countries so that the country holding presidency over the Security Council (Columbia this month or France in May) could launch official consultations on Serbia's request.
