Opposition DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica has confirmed that his party will not participate in the SNS rally called for April 16 in Belgrade. However, he noted that he was "convinced" that the two parties would continue to develop their cooperation. DSS leader praises only labor minister Kostunica told Belgrade-based daily Danas in an interview published on Thursday that it was "still possible that DSS would in the future organize joint actions with SNS". Kostunica, who met with SNS leader Tomislav Nikolic earlier this week, also stated that the two parties have the forcing of early elections as their most important common goal, noting it was "particularly important that there should be serious discussion about the future of Serbia" among them. The DSS leader criticized the current government for rendering the country "stuck", with the authorities "shutting themselves off completely in the cocoon of their cheap dogma about EU integration with no alternative". Kostunica - himself previously Serbia's prime minister for two terms - found words of praise only for Labor Minister Rasim Ljajic, who he said was "the sole voice of reason, persistently warning that Serbia is facing countless concrete problems".
