Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Vincent Degert has stated that he is optimistic regarding Serbia’s chances of getting the EU candidate status. “Even though some media wrote that I sent bad messages, I’m an optimist. I deeply believe that Serbia has a great capacity for the EU membership,” he pointed out during signing of a contract on realization of local self-government projects financed by the EU and organized by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities. Serbia "has capacity to join EU" EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule will address the Serbian MPs at a special session that Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic has called for March 29. The session will begin at 11:30 and Fule’s address will be the only item on the agenda, the Serbian parliament released. The EU enlargement commissioner will discuss Serbia’s European integration with the Serbian officials on Tuesday. It is expected that they will also discuss Serbia’s answers to the EC questionnaire. The session will begin at 11:30 and Fule’s address will be the only item on the agenda, the Serbian parliament released.

The EU enlargement commissioner will discuss Serbia’s European integration with the Serbian officials on Tuesday. It is expected that they will also discuss Serbia’s answers to the EC questionnaire.
