The police have received the first list for hearings connected to the political background of the Djindjic murder, which does not contain the name of Kostunica. The list will be expanded, says Minister Ivica Dacic. Opposition party leader "not on first list" The prosecution has sent the police (MUP) a list of some 20 persons who should be questioned with the goal of shedding light on the murder of Djindjic, says Police Minister Ivica Dacic. Dacic told B92 during the "Inside debate: who is responsible for answers" show that all those from the submitted list would be questioned as citizens. According to previous statements made by Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic, this investigation should lead to the political background of the prime minister's murder. The first list of witnesses that should be questioned in the pre-investigative procedure on the armed mutniy of the JSO in November 2001 has arrived at the Serbian MUP. The Socialist Party leader and Police Minister Ivica Dacic told the Inside Debate program that the list contains, among others, the names of Dusan Mihajlovic, Goran Radisavljevic Guri, Goran Petrovic, Milorad Bracanovic and Gradimir Nalic. Although the prosecutor announced that DSS leader Vojislav Kosunica would be questioned as a witness he is not in the first list, but the list, said Ivica Dacic, is not final. In the meantime, Blic is writing that Kosunica will be questioned, but that he will not be called in through the police, but would instead give his statement to the court. Guests of the Insider debate show agreed that the investigation on the JSO mutiny is the start of discovering the political background of the murder of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic. "There are many things which we have forgotten. In that first indictment there was Vojislav Seselj. Becuase he was in The Hague, the indictment against him was withdrawn," said Nenam Milic from the Liberal-Democratic Party, a former assistant minister of police. "Do you remember the famous statement made by Toma Nikolic at a rally in February 2003? "Tito limped ahead of his death"? We have statements from collaborating witnesses and other various witnesses who mention Nebojsa Covic as the man with whom the Zemun Clan had immediate contact," stated Milic. "There is a lot of topics, I cannot claim that any of that is true," he said. Democratic Party official and Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac believes that not all questions related to the assassination of Premier Djindjic have been answered. "I think that we have not received all the answers, that we are still looking for answers. Simply, whether the person that inspired was someone who was circumvented by the indictment," said Sutanovac. The first minority government of Vojislav Kostunica, with he support of SPS, took office in 2004. From that moment on pressures started against the Special Court, before which the Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic murder process was conducted. "I absolutely agree with you that in that period, beating in mind the change of the ruling structure, the investigation and overall the trial for the murder of Zoran Djindjic certainly wasn't a priority of some effort of the then ruling coalition, and what Mr. Milic said - that was the reason why many things have not been solved to this day," said Minister of Interior Affairs Ivica Dacic. The guests of the Insider Debate program were convinced that there is political will today as well as the determination of institutions with jurisdiction to reveal all the circumstaces connected to the murder of Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic.
