Serbia's Justice Minister Snezana Malovic says that there will soon be clear who, and with whose support, was behind PM Zoran Djindjic's assassination. She pointed out that the mutiny of the Special Operations Unit (JSO) had served as an overture for the prime minister's assassination. "Persons behind PM’s murder will be known soon” She told daily Blic that it was extremely important that the Special Prosecution for Organized Crimes starts criminal proceedings in connection to the JSO mutiny and the political backdrop of Djindjic's assassination in the nearest future. "The family of the murdered prime minister and the Serbian people have been waiting a long time for an answer about who was behind the mutiny and the political backdrop of Zoran Djindjic's assassination. Serbia is waiting and it must get an answer," Malovic stressed. “We have to draw a line under the era of former President Slobodan Milosevic when political opponents were killed,” said the justice minister. She added she was convinced the Special Prosecution for Organized Crimes was handling the case with determination and thoroughness. The minister stressed that all questions not encompassed by the already completed trial for Djindjic's murder needed to be answered. Snezana Malovic (Beta, file)
