Denmark ratifies SAA with Serbia

The Danish parliament has ratified the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Serbia, the Danish Embassy in Belgrade said Friday.

The Danish parliament has ratified the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Serbia, the Danish Embassy in Belgrade said Friday. On March 3, the Danish parliament voted unanimously in favor of ratifying the SAA between the EU and Serbia. Denmark ratifies SAA with Serbia On this basis, the Danish delegation to the European Union notified the Council Secretariat about the ratification on March 4. This concludes the national Danish ratification process, a release posted on the embassy website says. “I am very happy that the Danish ratification procedures have now been completed with the unanimous support of the Danish parliament. This is yet another proof of Denmark’s continued support to Serbia’s EU integration,” Danish Ambassador to Serbia Mette Kjuel Nielsen stressed. Denmark is the 15th country which has ratified the SAA with Serbia. The approval of all 27 EU member states is necessary for the agreement to go into effect.

On this basis, the Danish delegation to the European Union notified the Council Secretariat about the ratification on March 4. This concludes the national Danish ratification process, a release posted on the embassy website says.
