This does not mean that this freedom of movement for Serbian citizens is in danger, but it does mean additional efforts to maintain it will have to be made, Djelic's cabinet said. “I will discuss the issue with Minister Westerwelle and associates of Chancellor Angela Merkel, especially given that last year, the highest number of asylum seekers in Germany was from Serbia,” Djelic said. Deputy Prime Minister announced that the Serbian government should form a working group that would monitor the White Schengen related situation next week. “We are all working on it, making efforts to ensure the freedom is not called into question. Some results have already been achieved, as the number of asylum applications has decreased, especially in Germany,” Djelic said, adding that it still needed to be worked on preventing the problem and on suppressing the groups trying to abuse the white Schengen list.
