Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will arrive in Belgrade on Monday on a regular visit, according to announcements. The main topic of Brammertz's talks with the Belgrade authorities will be Serbia's cooperation with the Hague Prosecution, with particular focus on The Hague Tribunal fugitives Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic. Meanwhile, Head of the Serbian government's Office for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Dusan Ignjatovic stated on Sunday that Serbia is doing its best to capture the Hague fugitives and deliver them to the Tribunal. Ignjatovic said that this will be another chance for Brammertz to see that the Serbian authorities are doing their best to locate and arrest the two Hague fugitives, and to find out what can be done to enhance the search in the talks with representatives of the action team in charge of the issue. In an interview for B92, Ignjatovic said that there is a tendency for the public to get a wrong impression that there is a divide between what Brammertz wishes and what the Serbian government would like to see. “Serbia has delivered 44 persons (to the Hague), two fugitives remain at large, the political will is obviously there and it is hard to believe that anyone in Serbia might be institutionally shielding Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic,” Ignjatovic pointed out. Reminding that the country's cooperation with the Hague was excellent in the matters of documentation delivery, Ignjatovic noted that 95 per cent of the relevant documents submitted to the Tribunal come from the Serbian Interior Ministry, Military Security Agency and Security Information Agency.
