Serbia warned to include women in delegation The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) decided to give Serbia, Montenegro and San Marino until the April session, set for April 11 to 15, to choose at least one woman for their delegations, reads the release. If they fails to do so, their voting rights will be suspended and the decision will remain in effect until they appoint a female representative, says the release. Under the rules which promote gender equality in the Parliamentary Assembly, national delegations are required to have "at least one member of the under-represented sex as a representative." Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said during her visit to the European Parliament, that Serbia has passed a Gender Equality Law, but that women were still not adequately represented on all levels and that the law and subordinate legislation has yet to be applied in practice.
