The repeated parliamentary elections in Kosovska Mitrovica are going smoothly and there have been no incidents, said Kosovo police (KPS) Spokesman Besim Hoti. He explained that 500 KPS officers were securing the polling stations and providing security to the citizens. Elections repeat in K. Mitrovica “It is important that the situation is peaceful and there are no reports of any kind of incidents so far. We hope that it will continue this way,” Hoti stressed. Everything is ready for successful holding of elections, the Kosovo Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced earlier. 86,834 citizens will vote at 126 polling stations. The elections will be monitored by 1,858 domestic and foreign observers. The Election Complaints and Appeals sub-Commission ordered the authorities to repeat the elections in Kosovska Mitrovica due to voting irregularities on December 12. The elections have already been repeated in the municipalities of Srbica, Glogovac and Decani and at two polling stations in the municipalities of Malisevo and Lipljan due to numerous irregularities.
