Serb party says won't join Thaci

One of the Serb parties that took part in elections organized by the Kosovo Albanian government said they would not join a coalition with Hashim Thaci. Radamila Trajkovic, who was running in the recent Kosovo elections for the United Serb List (JSL), stated on Thursday that members of the civic initiative will not form a coalition with the outgoing Kosovo Albanian PM, whose party won majority of the vote. Serb party says won't join Thaci At a press conference held at the Media centre in Caglavica, Trajkovic said that JSL won more than 6,000 votes and that, according to the preliminary results, will have 4 seats in the assembly in Pristina. She stated that the party was ready to negotiate with other political parties of ethnic Albanians, such as the Democratic League of Kosovo led by Pristina Mayor Isa Mustafa. "If Thaci fails to muster the support of 60 percent of Albanians in parliament, his role in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and Kosovo's government will be highly problematic," estimated Trajkovic. She told journalists that the Independent Liberal Party, which won the majority of Serb votes, was fined EUR 3,000 for election fraud, "buying votes in particular". Serbs in Kosovo were advised by the government in Belgrade not to take part in the Dec. 12 elections.
