Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic is taking part in a conference on European integration of the Western Balkan states in Brussels today. Cvetkovic told the gathering that Belgrade is ready for the beginning of a dialogue with Pristina, and warned that such issues 'should not be pushed under the rug'. He also said that such a solution would bring about a historic reconciliation between the two people. Cvetkovic underscored that the Serbian government is a pro-European one, adding that he expects that Serbia will obtain the EU candidacy status by the end of 2011 and that a data for the beginning of the accession talks will be set. Cvetkovic pointed to the importance of the regional cooperation, stressing the improvement in relations between Serbia and Croatia. In addition to Cvetkovic, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic will also take part in this year's 11th political forum, organized by Friends of Europe and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation.
