Serbia Pirate Party backs WikiLeaks

Serbia's Pirate Party has announced that it supports the work of the whistleblowing website WikiLeaks. A party statement in Belgrade today also condemned some Serbian officials who "support the arrest and extradition" of WikiLeaks founder and editor-in-chief Julian Assange. The party also revealed that it is involved in assisting the WikiLeaks website, which has come under a series of hacker attacks since the start of the publication of U.S. diplomatic cables. "We are hosting an updated mirror of all documents from the current (WikiLeaks) website, along with most members of the Pirate Parties International," the party, founded in Belgrade in August of this year, stated.
