Justice Minister Snezana Malovic said on Monday that every appointment of judges will be reexamined. This will come after the permanent members of the High Judicial Council have been appointed, according to her. "All appointments of judges will be reexamined" “All the decisions made during the first session of the High Judicial Council will be re-examined. We are sure of the decisions and we do not have a problem with them being checked against the principles which exist in the international community,” Malovic told B92. The minister explained that every judge who applied for a position will be interviewed, whether he was elected or not, noting that this will also mean less work for the Constitutional Court, as the appeals that have been filed will be considered objections to the decisions and will be handled by the Supreme Court of Serbia. “In agreement with the European Commission, we are considering the possibility that the Supreme Court take on this responsibility, because it has two instances and the appeals could be classified as objections,” Malovic noted and added that the judges who were not elected will be given a chance to present their arguments to the Supreme Court.
