A delegation of ten ambassadors serving in Belgrade has started a two-day visit to the towns of Novi Pazar and Sjenica in the Raška District (Sandžak).

A delegation of ten ambassadors serving in Belgrade has started a two-day visit to the towns of Novi Pazar and Sjenica in the Raska District (Sandzak). The visit is meant to emphasize the efforts of their embassies to help local entrepreneurs, promote economic development and support the youth of the region. Ambassadors visit Sandzak towns Serbian Economy Minister joined them for a round table held in Novi Pazar today. Local entrepreneurs also attended. U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick said that Serbia's speedier EU integration will bring with it many economic possibilities. She also noted that many embassies wish to help create conditions for all companies in Serbia to utilize these possibilities. German Ambassador Wolfram Maas stated on the occasion that Serbia's progress toward EU membership was in the hands of its citizens. He also said that although Serbia has made much progress this year, he would "never dare predict any deadlines in that process". Maas added that his country has been active in support of a number of smaller projects in the southwestern Serbian region of Sandzak, ad that this was implemented through regional and state-level.
