KFOR troops reduction "natural result"

Allied Joint Force Command Naples Commander Admiral Samuel Locklear said in Pristina that the reduction in KFOR troops will not affect security in Kosovo. The role of NATO, through KFOR, will be the continued support to a safe society. NATO's recent decision to reduce KFOR presence from 10,000 to 5,500 troops over the coming months is a natural result and a good indicator that significant progress has been made in Kosovo, Locklear said after meeting acting Kosovo President Jakup Krasnici. He said he is impressed with the progress seen in Kosovo in his first two months at his new post. Krasnici said that the troops reduction indicates that Kosovo is safe and stable.
