Serbia will probably get a positive response to its EU membership candidacy application from the EC in 2011, Slovak FM Mikulas Dzurinda said Friday. This will be followed immediately by the start of negotiations on EU integration, he said. Slovak FM: Positive EC answer in 2011 Slovakia will support Serbia's EU integration, Dzurinda added. Dzurinda expressed his conviction that Serbia would in 2011 get a positive response from the EC and start negotiations on EU integration. “Slovakia will continue to support Serbia's EU integration and help in the implementation of reforms,” Dzurinda said after the meeting with Serbian Economy and Regional Development Minister Mladjan Dinkic in Bratislava. Dinkic thanked the Slovak FM for his country’s stand on the issue of resolving the status of Kosovo, and reiterated that the Serbian government’s priority was EU integration, Slovakian media reported. The two ministers reiterated both countries' interest in fostering economic cooperation and increasing Slovakia's investments in Serbia. Slovakia will support Serbia's EU integration, Dzurinda added.

Dzurinda expressed his conviction that Serbia would in 2011 get a positive response from the EC and start negotiations on EU integration.

“Slovakia will continue to support Serbia's EU integration and help in the implementation of reforms,” Dzurinda said after the meeting with Serbian Economy and Regional Development Minister Mlađan Dinkić in Bratislava.

Dinkić thanked the Slovak FM for his country’s stand on the issue of resolving the status of Kosovo, and reiterated that the Serbian government’s priority was EU integration, Slovakian media reported.

The two ministers reiterated both countries' interest in fostering economic cooperation and increasing Slovakia's investments in Serbia.

Slovakia is one of the five EU member states which have not recognized Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence.
