DSS official Slobodan Samardzic said that if Serbia agrees to change its Kosovo resolution it agrees to the dictation of the Western powers. “With the policies of ‘Europe has no alternative,’ the government has sealed the fate of Kosovo instead of fighting for preserving Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) official said. DSS criticizes Kosovo policies “If you put the fate and importance of the opponent in the foreground, who recognizes the independence of Kosovo and is doing everything to make sure it becomes a reality, and if you are collaborating with them, you will fall in the end,” Samardzic said. “EULEX was accepted, which should not have been allowed because it is a product of the Ahtisaari plan for the so-called administrated Kosovo independence. Then our police signed a protocol for police cooperation with EULEX, which should not have been allowed because that is a protocol for confirming the borders between Serbia and Kosovo. EULEX was working in the name of the temporary Kosovo institutions in that case,” he said. He said that the consequences of rejecting EULEX would not have been drastic. “I do not believe that there would have been any severe consequences, nort would the EU or U.S. have implemented any punishment on the Serbian people,” he said. Samardzic said that the government’s policies towards the EU should have been “EU only with Kosovo” not “Europe has no alternative,” adding that the government's “EU and Kosovo” policy has turned into “neither of the two.” Samardzic said that Serbia needs to turn towards Russia, not Europe. “We should temporarily suspend the Stabilization and Association Agreement (with the EU) and develop trade and all other relations with Russia, with other countries of the world, and there are now countries that are serious in terms of economy and security,” Samardzic said.
