GRECO Council head Drago Kos it is unlikely that EU would reintroduce visas for Serbians due to the amendments to the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency. Kos told Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti on Wednesday that the visa regime might get reintroduced "only should the Law amendments be followed by steps that would show that what happened now is a permanent, instead of a current situation, that there is an intent to restore the situation of before the adoption of the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency". Dual office controversy and EU visas Commenting on the announcements by President of the Committee of the Anti-Corruption Agency Cedomir Cupic that the double public offices of parliament members and mayors might lead to a reintroduction of EU visas, Kos said that doubling of offices might be tolerated for a period of time due to major practical problems that would occur within individual organs of the authority should the officials be forced to give up their offices. "But it is important that this situation does not last long. Colleagues from the Agency have informed me that the case will be taken to the Constitutional Court and I believe that the Court will make the right decision," said Kos. He said that the Agency "leaves more than an excellent impression, that it works well and has good working conditions".
