SPO calls for urgent passing of restitution law

The Vojvodina provincial board of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) called for an immediate passing of the restitution law. It also called for a prompt halting of the privatization of property that was appropriated by the state after World War II. According to available data, over 140,000 Serbian citizens are seeking the restitution of nationalized property, and Network for Restitution Coordinator Mile Antic said that the only acceptable method of reparation is the restitution of the same or equivalent value of property.
