Srebrenica visit “act of reconciliation”

Boris Tadić said that his visit on Sunday to Srebrenica would be an act of reconciliation in the hopes of building new bridges between the people of the region.

Boris Tadic said that his visit on Sunday to Srebrenica would be an act of reconciliation in the hopes of building new bridges between the people of the region. The Serbian president said that everyone that is not content with the current situation needs to look back and see where Serbia and the region started from after the conflicts of the 1990s. Srebrenica visit “act of reconciliation” “A lot has been done since October 5, (2000), it was not easy to make historical changes and now we must encourage people to continue what was started,” Tadic said. “Yesterday I arrived from Montenegro, and now I am headed to Srebrenica with a wish to build new bridges of friendship and understanding between the people of the region. At the same time, I support the construction of real bridges, because only with Corridor 10, the restoration of the railways and other infrastructure, can be move forward and secure better lives for the citizens,” Tadic said, who was at a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV). LSV leader Nenad Canak said that the party has gone through a difficult 20 years since it was founded, but said that the first decade was easier than the last one. “Then we knew who was who and who we had to fight against, it was enough to say ‘down with Slobodan Milosevic.’” Canak said.
