Prime minister meets with Korean officials

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković on Wednesday ended his visit to South Korea by meeting with Korean parliament speaker Park Hee-tae.

Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic on Wednesday ended his visit to South Korea by meeting with Korean parliament speaker Park Hee-tae. They concluded that the visit will contribute to the promotion of the overall cooperation between Serbia and Korea in political and economic areas. Prime minister meets with Korean officials They underscored that Cvetkovic's will help step up other forms of cooperation, such as science, education and culture, and they also discussed promotion of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. During his visit, Cvetkovic also met with Korean Prime Minister Chung Un Chan, and they agreed to intensify the economic cooperation between the two countries. Cvetkovic previously discussed with Korea's businessmen possibilities of investing in Serbia and toured the country's industrial giant Samsung Electronics. Serbia's Minister of Telecommunications Jasna Matic, who was in Cvetkovic's delegation, signed an agreement on cooperation in telecommunications with Korea Communications Commission Chairman See Joong Choi, the Ministry of Telecommunications announced Tuesday. According to the announcement, the cooperation will involve regulations, broadband internet access, transfer from analog to digital TV, radio-frequency spectrum management, human resources development and information security. Matic noted the agreement was the most important the ministry had signed since the agreements with the EU.
