Opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic says his party cannot think about the road to the EU without Kosovo as a part of Serbia. Reacting to the statement of opposition DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica, that cooperation with SNS was possible only if “Serbia enters the EU whole”, Nikolic reminded that he and Kostunica worked together on writing the Constitution which states that Kosovo is an inalienable part of Serbia. SNS: EU only with Kosovo in Serbia Nikolic said that there are conditions for entering the EU and that they can be fulfilled without Serbia or Europe stating their final stances on Kosovo. “I do not think that we should stop the story about European cooperation and integration, and I believe that we need to fulfill many more conditions—all public conditions which the Serbian citizens know about. I do not see which ones we cannot fulfill,” Nikolic said. He also said that he was unaware of any secret conditions, pressures or blackmails, and added that "if they do exist, someone should say it". “Kostunica can tell us whether he was pressured while he was prime minister. There are no more political parties in Serbia saying that they do not want to enter the EU, as long as Kosovo is a part of Serbia,” Nikolic said, repeating that there was "no reason to create a discussion on whether cooperation is possible between his party and DSS-NS out of one topic". Nikolic said that Kostunica’s announcement that they will meet was a sign he was expecting. The SNS leader said that if he wanted a serious talk with senior party officials, on a possible future agreement, program or goals, "rather than three or four government within one", he was ready to meet with Kostunica.
