Ghana will not recognize Kosovo as independent, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said in Accra, Ghana. He told FoNet news agency that this African country will "continue to respect Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity". Ghana confirms stance on Kosovo "We are exceptionally grateful to Ghana for this stance," Jeremic said, after meeting with the country's foreign and trade ministers, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni and Hannah Tetteh. "We have acquainted Ghana's authorities about our intention to continue our diplomatic battle to defend our territorial integrity," said Jeremic. "It is important for Ghana to have this position because it is very influential in Africa. It is, politically and economically, one of the most developed and most stable African countries," the foreign minister was quoted.
