A DS-led MP group leader Nada Kolundzija told B92 that Serbia will unequivocally condemn the Srebrenica crime with its resolution. “It is not important to deal with the legal qualifications of the crime. We believe that it is important that Serbia unambiguously condemns that crime and to offer condolences to the victims and to make sure that all those responsible for the crime will be held responsible for it,” Kolundzija said. “Serbia should unequivocally condemn Srebrenica” She said that parliament is not a court and should therefore not deal with classifying crimes, adding that "the International Court of Justice already stated, (ruling) on Bosnia’s charges against Serbia, that genocide was not committed in Srebrenica". Kolundzija stated that she is convinced that all the political parties will be supporting the Srebrenica resolution, regardless of whether the 1995 killings in this eastern Bosnian town will be deemed crimes or genocide. She said that it is better to allow time for the resolution to gain support by a large majority than to rush its adoption. Kolundzija added that many parties are participating in the talks of what the declaration should include and how it should be formulated. She said that her Democratic Party’s (DS) opinion is that Srebrenica deserves its own declaration, and that the crimes committed against Serbs should receive their own resolution as well.
