SNS, NS to form coalition?
The opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) and New Serbia (NS) are actively working on forming a coalition, says a Belgrade daily.

The opposition Serb Progressive Party (SNS) and New Serbia (NS) are actively working on forming a coalition, says a Belgrade daily. The new coalition would take part in the next parliamentary elections, Blic claims in an article published on Friday. SNS, NS to form coalition? According to this, NS partners the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) chose to remain outside the new alliance, while the future coalition will start joint campaigns on Monday – symbolically at the place where NS President Velimir Ilic was attacked recently, the newspaper writes. “When (DSS leader) Vojislav Kostunica said that ‘he did not wish to join a new DOS’, he gave his final answer to Velimir Ilic on whether he wanted to join a coalition with the Progressives,” stated the daily’s source, adding that DSS still had time to decide but that it was hard to expect that they would change their mind. “On the one hand, the Progressives could use the NS votes because they would almost go level with the Democrats.
