Interior Minister Ivica Dacic says the Kosovo UDI is the most serious security threat Serbia is currently facing. “The security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is burdened by ethnically motivated violence,” Dacic said in a lecture today for the National School of Defense officers. Dacic singled out the radical Islamist Wahhabi movement as yet another threat to the country’s security, and said members of this movement were connected to Albanian terrorists. Other threats include organized crime, primarily drug and people trafficking, and corruption, said the interior minister. Dacic repeated that Serbian police (MUP) have good cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the region, and that the ministry’s priority is to fight organized crime.
