Croatian PM Jadranka Kosor says that Croatia is "still turned toward good neighborly relations". This, she says, despite Serbia's decision to file a genocide counter-suit against Croatia before the ICJ. "Good neighborly relations with Serbia" According to Kosor, her country is "completely prepared for the process". "We have prepared absolutely all the facts that can prove it was about a bloody Greater Serb aggression against Croatia under the guiding hand of Slobodan Milosevic," she said of the war that started with the 1991 disintegration of Yugoslavia (SFRJ). "It was about a war that we not only did not wish, but were under obligation to defend ourselves." Now Croatia has "all the data and all the facts to defend the historical truth about that", according to Kosor. She went on to say that her country "absolutely chooses to support its neighbors on their Euro-Atlantic road". Asked whether that meant that the relations between the two countries would not be influenced by the lawsuit, Kosor said that "they would not, as far as Croatia is concerned". "That's a part of the past, and the future is common, because we wish to live as good neighbors," said the Croat PM. Jadranka Kosor (Beta, file)
