Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov has refused to attend an informal meeting of leaders from several countries scheduled for January in Prizren.

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov has refused to attend an informal meeting of leaders from several countries scheduled for January in Prizren. Albanian language newspapers in Pristina write today that the "informal summit, planned to be held on January 7 and 8 in Prizren, is organized by Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu". Macedonian president won't travel to Prizren Ivanov's cabinet released in a statement that the invitation to the meeting did not arrive at the president's address, stressing that the president's agenda was busy. Despite earlier announcements, Ivanov has not paid an official visit to Pristina yet. The January meeting will be attended by Albanian President Bamir Topi, Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic.

Ivanov's cabinet released in a statement that the invitation to the meeting did not arrive at the president's address, stressing that the president's agenda was busy.

Despite earlier announcements, Ivanov has not paid an official visit to Priština yet.

The January meeting will be attended by Albanian President Bamir Topi, Croatian President Stjepan Mesić and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović.
