Serbia's Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac on Tuesday in Belgrade welcomed his Czech counterpart Martin Bartak. The defense ministers said that military cooperation between their two countries was excellent and announced joint work on the projects, Beta news agency reported. Czech defense minister visits Serbia Bartak expressed the Czech Republic's willingness to help Serbia in all areas where that would be possible and added that there were many fields where the two countries could cooperate. Bartak said a group of experts from the Czech Republic would come to Serbia to review which areas of cooperation could be additionally improved, especially in the designated purpose industry and modernizing MI helicopters. Sutanovac reminded that the designated purpose industry had achieved great expansion on the international market and added that the Army of Serbia's equipment and ammunition was sold worldwide and that a large number of contracts had been made this year. Bartak also met with Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic to discuss cooperation. "Djelic and Bartak spoke about Serbia's future steps in the process of European integrations and voiced thanks for support from the Czech Republic to Serbia on its road to the EU," a press release from Djelic's cabinet read. At a ceremony at the Czech embassy in Belgrade, Bartak and Sutanovac presented Mladen Vuruna, head of the Belgrade Military Academy, and Rudolf Urban, president of the Defense University, with replicas of the officer's sword of Frantisek Zach. Bartak expressed the Czech Republic's willingness to help Serbia in all areas where that would be possible and added that there were many fields where the two countries could cooperate.

Bartak said a group of experts from the Czech Republic would come to Serbia to review which areas of cooperation could be additionally improved, especially in the designated purpose industry and modernizing MI helicopters.

Šutanovac reminded that the designated purpose industry had achieved great expansion on the international market and added that the Army of Serbia's equipment and ammunition was sold worldwide and that a large number of contracts had been made this year.

Bartak also met with Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Đelić to discuss cooperation.

"Đelić and Bartak spoke about Serbia's future steps in the process of European integrations and voiced thanks for support from the Czech Republic to Serbia on its road to the EU," a press release from Đelić's cabinet read.

At a ceremony at the Czech embassy in Belgrade, Bartak and Šutanovac presented Mladen Vuruna, head of the Belgrade Military Academy, and Rudolf Urban, president of the Defense University, with replicas of the officer's sword of Frantisek Zach.
