Parliamentary officials will continue their debate of the 2010 budget draft and its accompanying laws. The session began an hour later than expected because the parliamentary finance committee was meeting to discuss the government’s draft. The opposition protested on Friday because the committee did not meet before the parliamentary session, but also wanted to have the debate of the State Audit Institution’s 2008 report on the parliamentary agenda, and debate time extended from five to ten hours. The parliament began a new session on Friday to debate the budget draft. Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Finance Minister Diana Dragutinovic addressed the PMs at the start of the session. According to the 2010 budget draft, the revenue next year will be RSD 655.9bn (EUR 6.87bn), while the expenditure is expected to reach RSD 762.9bn (EUR 7.99bn). Budget debate continues in parliament

The committee approved the government’s 2010 budget draft.

The opposition protested on Friday because the committee did not meet before the parliamentary session, but also wanted to have the debate of the State Audit Institution’s 2008 report on the parliamentary agenda, and debate time extended from five to ten hours.

The parliament began a new session on Friday to debate the budget draft. Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković and Finance Minister Diana Dragutinović addressed the PMs at the start of the session.

According to the 2010 budget draft, the revenue next year will be RSD 655.9bn (EUR 6.87bn), while the expenditure is expected to reach RSD 762.9bn (EUR 7.99bn).
