European Commission Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin said that Serge Brammertz’s report represents another positive step for Serbia towards the EU. “I am pleased with the progress of Serbia in terms of cooperation with the Hague Tribunal,” Kacin said, adding that efforts must be increased for finding, arresting, and extraditing the remaining two fugitives, Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic. Kacin: Brammertz report positive step towards EU Kacin said that he is convinced that Serbia has potential on the road towards the EU for working faster and doing more than it has been able to do thus far. In a statement given to the Tanjug news agency, Kacin said that he does not know if the Hague Chief Porsecutor's report will be enough to change Holland’s stance and enable the unfreezing of the interim trade agreement and the Stabilization and Association agreement between Serbia and the EU. He said that the first chance for this happening will be the EU Council of Ministers meeting on December 7 in Brussels. Kacin congratulated the President of the National Council for Hague Cooperation, Rasim Ljajic, for coordinating Serbia’s efforts, as well as Interior and Justice Ministers Ivica Dacic and Snezana Malovic, and Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic for the progress that has been achieved and recognized by the Hague chief prosecutor.
