President Boris Tadic today commented on the report of the State Audit Institution (DRI) for 2008. It showed that there was "excessive spending in the fields which are completely unnecessary” he said, and added that ministers must possess the quality of "financial and civil discipline". Tadic weighs in on budget audit “Every state institution has to obey law and justice. Reckless behavior is very dangerous considering the circumstances Serbia is in,” Tadic pointed out. The president underlined that the Serbian government would continue to analyze audit reports in keeping with the law, and establish whether the work of the ministries had been characterized not only by irregularities, but also by unlawful activities.
