A court in Pristina confirmed a month-long custody period for three Kosovo Serbs suspected of committing war crimes. They were arrested last week in the town of Novo Brdo, in the eastern part of the province. Custody confirmed for K. Serbs The court stated that there is a chance the accused could flee or influence potential witnesses if released, one of the lawyers for the suspects, Miodrag Brkljac, explained. Brkljac said he was worried that the prosecutor also stated there was "well-founded suspicion" that those detained committed the alleged crimes "in conspiracy with other persons", since this could mean that there are plans to make new arrests.
