Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu says that the small amount of displaced persons returning to Kosovo is all due to the policies of the government in Belgrade. “We want all the people to return to their homes, but the problem is that the majority of these people are still an instrument of the irrational policies pursued by Belgrade,” Sejdiu told Podgorica television station Atlas. Sejdiu blames Belgrade for dearth of returns The Kosovo president said that there were constitutional and legal guarantees for a safe return, and that the provincial government was working on establishing the conditions. He added, though, that the will of displaced persons and refugees to return to their homes was necessary. “It is hard to build a house or give keys to someone who will not accept them for purely political reasons,” Sejdiu lamented.
