The commander of NATO Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral Mark Fitzgerald, says the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) will be unable to assume KFOR’s powers. “The Kosovo Security Forces add to general security in Kosovo, but it is clear that they cannot replace us (KFOR), because they have a different mandate, which is not military. There will be no transfer of authorities to them (KSF),” Fitzgerald told a press conference at KFOR headquarters in Pristina.
