The government in Pristina has rejected all proposals made by Belgrade to solve the problem of power supply to the Serb areas in Kosovo, says Petar Skundric. "We have offered to double the amount spent by the Serbs through the donation of electricity, but even that was not accepted. It testifies that this is about brutal political pressures on the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija," the energy minister told Beta news agency on Sunday. "K. Albanians reject electricity issue solutions" According to him, Belgrade is ready for any kind of arrangement that does not include an indirect recognition of Kosovo's "statehood", which is "unacceptable to Serbia". Skundric also said that the government had formed a working body that is dealing exclusively with the issue of electricity supply to non-Albanian population in Kosovo and Metohija. "There are a number of possibilities and technical solutions that are being considered, and solutions are being sought through the assistance and support of friendly countries, even in the sense of finding another provider that could, under all international clauses, supply the Serbs with electricity," said the minister.
