FM Vuk Jeremic said in Skopje yesterday that the arrest of 2 Serbs in Croatia ahead of local elections there wasn't in the spirit of good neighborly relations. “This is a basic breach of human rights and merits the strongest institutional and political condemnation. I call on the Serbs to nevertheless vote and we’ll do all we can, as a state, to protect them, using diplomatic means,” Jeremic told a news conference after meeting with the leader of the Democratic Serb Party in Macedonia, Ivana Stoiljkovic. FM condemns arrest of Croatian Serbs On Wednesday Croatian police arrested Ljuban Bradaric and Pero Djermanovic, suspected of killing civilian Vladimir Letic in the village of Stubalj on October 18, 1991, as members of the Krajina armed forces. The Serb National Council condemned the arrests, stating that this was a ploy to “further dishearten all those who see the local elections as a chance to return.” Jeremic was in Skopje yesterday to meet with Macedonian leaders. FM condemns arrest of Croatian Serbs
On Wednesday Croatian police arrested Ljuban Bradarić and Pero Đermanovic, suspected of killing civilian Vladimir Letić in the village of Stubalj on October 18, 1991, as members of the Krajina armed forces.The Serb National Council condemned the arrests, stating that this was a ploy to “further dishearten all those who see the local elections as a chance to return.”
Jeremić was in Skopje yesterday to meet with Macedonian leaders.
