Kosovo daily Koha Ditore writes that Kosovo is edging ever closer to fully-fledged membership of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Driton Cehaj, appointed by the provincial government to head Kosovo’s membership bid, said on Monday that Kosovo had received the needed amount of votes for membership of that financial institution. “Kosovo nearing IMF membership” “It was important to reach the quota. Based on the information we have, a certain number of IMF member-states participated in the voting. Once the voting is over, they will state the results and I am convinced that they will be positive for Kosovo,” Cehaj said.
