UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday sent the UN Kosovo dossier to the International Court of Justice, ICJ. He forwarded some 2,900 pages of documents that contain all resolutions, constitutional frameworks and UNMIK rules, quarterly reports filed by UN envoy Kai Eide, the Ahtisaari plan, the presidential troika report, documents related to Ramboullet and Kumanovo agreements, KFOR reports, the Kosovo Albanian declaration of independence, and other papers, according to Albanian language daily Express. Serbia has asked the ICJ to give its advisory opinion on the legality of the February 2008 unilateral declaration of independence made by Kosovo's Albanians. 35 countries have decided to take part in the proceedings by submitting their written statements, the ICJ revealed earlier this week.
