Judging by the newspaper reports, President Boris Tadic's visit last week to Decani is still stirring spirits in Kosovo. The Albanian language media in Pristina write today that the visit to the Orthodox Serb monastery, made on Good Friday, "shows that the conflict between Serbia and Kosovo continues in a different form". "Three-day drama over Tadic visit" Jakup Krasinici, who presides over the assembly in Pristina, "has tried to defend Premier Hashim Thaci's decision to allow Tadic to vicit Decani", reports said, and added his appraisal that "Tadic made political statements while staying at the monastery". "It is up to the government of Kosovo to now decide whether it will in the future allow the Serb president to visit Kosovo," Krasnici was quoted as saying. Express newspaper, meantime, writes that "the government cannot deny the fact that Tadic's visit was a violation of Kosovo's constitution". "During the three-day drama we have not heard a single word from [Kosovo Albanian] President Fatmir Sejdiu," the newspaper complains. Tadic's office last week said that the president did not ask Kosovo Albanian government's permission to travel to the province.
