The Serbian parliament continued to debate nine ecology laws, which are one of the conditions for the country's future European integration.

The Serbian parliament continued to debate nine ecology laws, which are one of the conditions for the country's future European integration. The electronic system for confirming a quorum and voting, which did not work of he last two session, was functioning this Monday, but there were problems with MPs speaking from their seats because microphones were not working for the first several minutes. Parliament debates ecology laws A unified debate continued on the laws for protecting natural environments from excessive noise, protecting and sustaining the fishing fund, evaluating the effects on the natural environment, the protection of nature and changes for the law for protecting the environment and air. There was also debate for confirming annex B of the Kyoto Protocol, with the conventions for climate changes, and confirming the Rotterdam Convention on giving approval based on the previous information on the dangers of chemical and pesticides on the international market. The convention for access to information, participating of the public in passing decisions and the right for legal protection for environmental issues, was also on the agenda. The goal of the proposed laws and amendments is to harmonize Serbian regulations with European ones and make penal policies related to this area stricter.
