First Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met on Monday in Belgrade with European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin. They assessed that significant progress could be made very soon in respect to visa liberalization for Serbia. Dacic: Progress in visa liberalization After his talks with Kacin, Dacic underlined at a joint press conference that “significant progress could be made” in the second half of the year regarding visa liberalization, and added that we could expect a positive stand of the European Commission to that effect. Kacin congratulated Dacic and the Serbian government on the realization of the road map for visa regime liberalization, pointing out that the things that had been done so far offered realistic chances for a soon resolution of the matter. The Slovenian EP official said that Serbia was the biggest country in the Western Balkans "which must be the driving force of positive changes in the region".
