Two ruling coalition parties have seen their relationship deteriorate with attempts to define measures to fight the economic crisis. This is according to daily Blic, which today writes that the Democrats (DS) and G17 Plus hold different positions on how to save money. Crisis measures test ruling coalition The newspaper claims that both parties have produced their own programs on the saving measures that the government should adopt – but that these differ "on many issues". The Democrats are said to object to their cabinet and pre-election partners G17 Plus' decision to make their austerity package ideas public before discussing them within the coalition. G17 Plus, on the other hand, say that the DS is not sufficiently operative and decisive, according to Blic. Last month, the government announced it would be introducing a blanket six percent tax on all income higher than RSD 12,000, but soon backed down.
