Priština to seek UNMIK pull-out

Kosovo's deputy foreign policy chief Vlora Citaku says that Pristina will seek the withdrawal of the UN mission at the Security Council session on March 23. "The Kosovo government has prepared all the arguments that prove that the UNMIK mission is surplus to requirements," she told Radio Kosovo. Pristina to seek UNMIK pull-out Pristina will be represented at the session by Skender Hyseni, the provincial administration's head of foreign affairs. It is understood that Hyseni will speak about progress made in Kosovo at the session. Three reports will be presented to the Security Council: UNMIK's, the Kosovo government's and EULEX's. The latter will be contained within an annex to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's report. Serbian President Boris Tadic will also address the session devoted to Kosovo, it was confirmed today. March 23 is the tenth anniversary of the beginning of the NATO air strikes on Serbia. The session is due to start at 15:00 CET.

Priština to seek UNMIK pull-out
