MPs ratify anti-crime, anti-terrorism conventions
MPs have adopted laws on international legal assistance in criminal matters, on combating money laundering and financing terrorism, and on electoral registers.

MPs have adopted laws on international legal assistance in criminal matters, on combating money laundering and financing terrorism, and on electoral registers. Parliament rubber-stamped the Convention on High Technology Crime and the Council of Europe Convention on Laundering, Search, Seizure and Confiscation of the Proceeds from Crime and Financing Terrorism. MPs ratify anti-crime, anti-terrorism conventions An additional protocol to the former was also confirmed, pertaining to work of racist or xenophobic nature disseminated via computer. The Council of Europe Convention on Action Against Trafficking of Human Beings was also ratified. MPs confirmed a Protocol on Changes to the European Convention on Combating Terrorism, together with an agreement between Serbia and Denmark on a relaxation of visa issuance procedures. Parliament also appointed 15 members of the National Health Council on five-year mandates. The Council is responsible for, among other things, licensing health workers and implementing educational programs. Council members are subject to the Law on Conflicts of Interest. Today’s session also saw the dismissals of National Education Council President Aleksandar Jovanovic and Council members Mihailo Djuric and Aleksandar Lipovski, together with the appointments of their replacements. The Council, which is responsible for drawing up the national school curriculum, has 42 members altogether, appointed to six-year terms.
