Labor Minister Rasim Ljajic has on Saturday visited New Serbia leader and MP Velimir Ilic in hospital in Belgrade. Ljajic said his visit came motivated by "human, but also political reasons". Ljajic visits Ilic in hospital "I wished to, above all, see Ilic whose health is jeopardized, but to also politically put an end to that whole story," said he. The NS leader was taken ill on Friday after a turbulent week in parliament where he was at the center of a controversy raised by his comments directed at Ljajic. NS deputy leader Dubravka Filipovski said earlier today that Ilic's condition is stable. "He spent the night in a stable condition and the situation is under control," Filipovski said. She added that doctors decided this morning that the former cabinet minister and MP will stay in hospital for several more days, but denied rumors that he had suffered a stroke. According to Filipovski, Ilic will hold a news conference next week. Ilic was admitted to the Emergency Center's neurosurgical ward Friday afternoon. Filipovski said that he went there because of "fatigue and high blood pressure" caused by a "media manhunt against him". Some media reported that Ilic fell in his apartment and was suffering from a hematoma on his head.
